Tallinn North Star AI conference: IPRally wins the most innovative AI startup award!

IPRally won the most innovative AI startup award in North Star AI conference. The event had some star speakers like Estonian president Kersti Kaljulaid and DeepMind's Samuel Ritter.

The North Star AI conference in Tallinn on 7.3.2019 was an amazing event. We had me and Sebastian, our lead AI developer, participating. One of the highlights was Estonian president Kersti Kaljulaid opening the day with a full length talk about AI from the head of state point of view. Another great moment was Samuel Ritter from DeepMind talking about meta-learning.

For us, the main event was the AI startup competition. We got to the finals with four other companies, and this alone was great: an opportunity to talk about IPRally to some of the brightest AI minds in Europe. Finland and our investor Icebreaker.vc were well presented, as three of the finalists came from Helsinki and from the Icebreaker.vc portfolio.

Our approach for the pitch deck was quite hands on technical

To me, our technology is really cool and when it comes to that, we can compete with anyone. The other participants had still much wilder ideas and classically impactful subjects, like curing cancer. Then came the award ceremony and IPRally was announced as the winner of the most innovative AI startup award! We were overwhelmed! Selko, another Finnish company, won the main price and was chosen as the most impactful AI startup.

Aitäh? (Thanks in Estonian, "what just happened" in Finnish)
